Let’s work together to make Brampton Better. Safer Streets. Respect for Taxpayers. Better services for families and seniors. Improved transit and transportation.
My Name is Charmaine Williams. I am your candidate for Brampton Wards 7 and 8.
I am also:
I’ve been a member of the Bramalea community since 1981.
I love my neighbourhood and I have a passion for working together with my neighbours to make Brampton better.
Enough about me. Let’s talk about you.
I have been canvassing door-to-door meeting taxpayers like you in ward 7/8 for several months – 15,000 homes so far.
I’ve listened to your concerns and heard your vision for building a Better Brampton. For example:
You told me you were concerned about the recent surge in gun violence. I’ve proposed a gun amnesty and gun buyback program for Brampton. Over 2500 residents have signed my petition in favour of my plan to get 500 guns off the streets.
You told me you had concerns about the legalization of recreational marijuana. I’m proposing a 500 meter ban on pot sales near schools in Brampton and a possible ban altogether of any marijuana stores in Brampton.
You told me cars are speeding on your residential streets making it unsafe for seniors, children and other drivers. I founded www.PleaseSlowDown.ca a Brampton-based organization responsible for those yellow and black lawn signs that remind drivers to SLOW DOWN in your neighbourhood.
You told me you want someone who will respect taxpayers and knows how to balance a budget.
I’m a married mother of five children, with a mortgage. No one knows better than me how to manage a budget and make sure everyone gets what they need. I’ll be frugal with your tax dollars and compassionate about helping the less fortunate in Brampton.
You told me that you want to have a City Councillor who acts like a good neighbor. I’m the only leading candidate who lives in Ward 7 and 8.
My Name is Charmaine Williams. I’m a proud Canadian.
I’m asking for your vote so we can work together to build a better Brampton.
Election Day is this Monday October 22nd. You can vote from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM
