BramptonVoters.ca is a civic engagement hub. We engage Brampton residents in discussion about city building issues. The hub is operated by Brampton Focus Community Media, a non-profit and non-partisan organization that started after the 2014 municipal election
How do you engage residents?
We utilize hyper-local video, social media, live streaming, online groups, townhalls, events and community newspapers to stay connected with residents. We also operate additional hubs for crime prevention (Neighbourhood Watch Brampton), diversity & inclusion (Harmonize.ca) and are working on an education hub (Recess Report), a youth opportunities hub and a business hub.
How will voters benefit?
We are delivering a one-stop shop for election information that residents across the city can use to make an informed decision when they vote.
How can candidates benefit?
Web and mobile communications are rapidly changing how to effectively communicate with voters. While community canvassing continues to be the most effective way to engage voters, marketing online through social media with a great video based website is gaining traction as an equally effective alternative. We provide candidates with high impact media and distribution options to reach voters.
Why should Candidates register with BramptonVoters?
Our experience shows that residents only vote when they know who to vote for. With a dismal 33% municipal voter turnout rate, it is clear that most voters are not familiar with their candidates . We provide candidates with effective online, social and video resources that complement your online and community canvassing activities. For the first time, residents will have a comprehensive online resource to understand the issues and the solutions being offered.
